India-bound Skoda Kodiaq teaser images out ahead of September launch

Skoda Kodiaq

While the official unveiling of the Skoda Kodiaq is scheduled for later this week, the company has released the first official teaser image of the upcoming SUV’s cabin. Going by the official teaser images, the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq will have a 7-seater cabin inspired by the new generation Superb sedan. The images reveal a multi-function steering wheel and door panels which share striking similarity with the Superb.  In addition, it appears the new Kodiaq will have a completely redesigned dashboard.

There’s a massive touchscreen display on the center console flanked by vertically stacked air ducts on either side. Besides, images shared by the company also showcase black leather upholstery, along with a seven-seat configuration with foldable second-row seats. The overall layout feels more integrated, with a minimalist feel which makes the cabin look more spacey. The Czech automaker says that all the functions and keys are easy to access.

Skoda Kodiaq Variants

We can expect the Skoda Kodiaq to be a massive SUV going by the dimensions revealed by the manufacturer. It measures 4.70 metres in length, 1.88 metres in height, and it offers a solid 720-litres of boot capacity. The boot space can be expanded by 2065-litres, thereby making it one of the largest boot capacity in its class.

Skoda Kodiaq Features

Coming to the features, the upcoming 7-seater Kodiaq will offer a plethora of comforts. For instance, there will be 360-degree cameras with a top view, a Manoeuvre assist feature that automatically applies while reversing, along with a towing assist feature. The company is expected to offer up to 30 ‘Simply Clever’ solutions along with the Skoda Kodiaq.

The SUV will come in two diesel engine options, while the petrol variant will have 3 engine options. The company is yet to official announce the specifications of the Kodiaq SUV, but we can expect the company to reveal the spec sheet later this week at an event in Berlin, Germany. What we do know is that the Kodiaq will have an All-Wheel Drive onboard. More details about the Kodiaq SUV should be available later this week. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we get anything new. Till then, keep checking this space for more.
