Chinese smartphone brand Coolpad has launched yet another mid-range smartphone Cool M7 in China today. The specifications of the phone look pity catchy, and it seems to be a solid mid range contender. The USP of the phone is it sleek metallic design and the rear camera set up which comes with brightest F/1.8 aperture.
The Coolpad Cool M7 rocks a metal unibody design with a fingerprint sensor on the front. The smartphone is slim at just 6.9mm thickness with smooth edges around the corners. Further, the phone sports a 5.5 inches Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. The Cool M7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 which coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM. The phone has an internal storage of 64GB, and it runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system.
In the camera front, the phone is equipped with Sony IMX362 12MP rear camera with F/1.8 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. In the front, there is a 13MP front-facing shooter which comes with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size, and 79.8-degree field of view. This dual SIM smartphone is fuelled by 3200mAh Li-ion battery with fast charging capabilities.
The connectivity option include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, and USB 2.0 Type-C. The device is measured at 151.16×74.32×6.9mm, and it weighs around 152g. Moreover, the Cool M7 smartphone is also enriched by a dedicated amplifier (DAC) for an immersive audio experience.
The smartphone comes in two-color variants i:e Matte Black and Blue and it come with a price tag of $404 (INR 25,900). The phone is currently listed in leading online Chinese retailer jd.com, and its sale will start on August 26, 2017. The phone looks solid regarding design and specs, but its pricing seems to be a pity hefty.
