The Indian smartphone manufacturer, Intex Technologies has showcased its latest premium smartphone, Intex Aqua Gen X at an event in New Delhi. Priced at Rs. 13,299, the handset is likely to be launched somewhere near next week in the Indian market.
Equipped with a metallic unibody, a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels and Dragon Trail H7 display protection, the Intext Aqua GenX is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz Octa-core cortex A53 processor paired with 2GB DDR3 RAM.
The Aqua GenX offers 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. Out-of-the-box the smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Still, there’s no any clue from company’s side regarding Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
The Intex Aqua GenX sports a 13MP rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash support and a 5MP front-facing camera. The rear snapper is capable of recording slow motion video recording. A 2,850 mAh Li-Po battery powers the handset, which company claims to deliver 11 hours of Talktime on 3G and 392 hours of Standby Time on 3G.
Connectivity-wise, the dual-SIM Intex Aqua GenX comes with 4G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, Portable Hotspot, Micro-USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm headset jack.
The Intex Aqua GenX allows the user to communicate in 21 regional languages including Hindi through its Matrabhasha service. The handset is available in two color options: Champagne and Silver.
According to the Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, with the introduction of Intex Aqua GenX, the company aims to give the consumers and the mobile industry a first class experience of feature-loaded mobile at a considerably low price so that everyone can use it.
