The Nokia 3310 is reportedly all set to make a comeback at the upcoming MWC 2017. Credible smartphone tipster Evan Blass aka @evleaks, who has a reliable track record with his smartphone leaks, reports that HMD Global is working on a handset that shares the name 3310. The Nokia 3310 hardly needs any introduction. The phone was rather popular among users for its epic battery life and robust build quality – and still considered by many as a tech icon.
And just like the original Nokia 3310, the handset is said to be a feature phone offering basic functionality such as calling and texting. In terms of pricing, the handset is expected to be priced around $63 and rival other budget Android smartphones.
Other details about the refreshed Nokia 3310 reboot still remain slim. Though HMD Global, which has the official rights to sell Nokia branded handsets could help revive the Nokia legacy with a brand new avatar of the fabled Nokia 3310. The company has already released a prototype called the Nokia 150.
Blass also says that two affordable Nokia phones – the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are also set to go official at MWC 2017 in Barcelona later this month. The Nokia 3 is said to be an entry-level Android handset expected to cost around $158. While the Nokia 5 will reportedly retail for $265 and feature a 5.2-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, along with a 12MP rear-facing camera.
