
Reliance revealed the JioPhone today in a live event which is a feature phone that comes with 4G VoLTE connectivity for people who can’t afford expensive 4G smartphones. JioPhone is a feature phone which comes with features just like an Android smartphone. The company will start the pre-booking of the handset from 24th August, and it will start shipping only in September.
The pre-booking for the JioPhone will be available on the official jio website, and people will be technically getting this feature phone for free. But, you will have to pay a sum of Rs. 1,500 at the time of pre-booking to get the phone. But this amount will be refunded to the customers after three years of time.
The smartphone will also be available at the offline Reliance Jio Retailers for customers to pre-book the device. The JioPhone comes with SOS feature that will send a distress message to your emergency contact on pressing the button 5 and Reliance is working on adding some emergency numbers and police numbers in the list.
If you are planning to buy the JioPhone, then make sure to pre-book the phone on My Jio app or Reliance Retailers on 24th August. The pre-booking price is Rs. 1,500 which doesn’t include the voice and data plans. You have to pay 153 a month to keep the unlimited 4G services and data.
