OnePlus entered the Indian market in 2014, and since then the success that it has seen in the smartphone industry in the country is quite astounding. The company’s marketing strategies in the country have worked wonders, and now it is planning to open an experience center in Bengaluru.
Currently, OnePlus phones are only sold through online medium. The experience store will not only be the first offline buying store, but it will also allow consumers to use and experience the phone before they decide to buy it. This will also be the first experience store by the company in the world. Even in China, its home country, OnePlus sells its phones online.
The company chief Vikas Agarwal said that if this is a success, OnePlus will open more such stores in the country. Recently OnePlus launched its flagship OnePlus 3 in India, and it almost instantly became a crowd favorite with its high-end specs, at a not-so-high-end price of INR 27,999.
The best flagship that the experience store will have in store for users will have a 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD display. On top will be the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4, bottomed by a home button that can act as a fingerprint scanner. The 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset will be powered by the Adreno 530 GPU and a noteworthy 6GB RAM. The unexpandable internal memory is 64GB.
Considering the amount of demand in India, earlier this year, the company had decided to start manufacturing in the country, and now even experience stores have come into the picture.
