Design
The speaker comes in a circular design and with rubberized finish all-round to make it a little more rugged. There is nothing exciting in design except for the choice of materials. You get metal mesh on the front with the Zaap logo embossed on it, while the power and call function button lies on the size. On the opposite side, you get the microUSB charging port along with 3.5mm audio jack both of which are covered with a flap.
There are volume buttons on the side as well, with track selection buttons on the opposite side. The speaker comes with an IP67 water resistance rating and at the same time is both Dust & shockproof. On the back, you get a mount to add a suction cup if for any reason you want the speaker to be stuck to a surface. There is also a carabiner thrown in to attach the speaker to bags or other storage items.
Sound Quality & Performance
When it comes to connectivity, the speaker has a very stable Bluetooth connection along with a 3.5mm jack. The main driver unit is rated at 3W and packs a punch for its size. The speaker gets pretty loud and can easily fill a small room. There is an IP67 rating meaning the speaker can be submerged in very shallow water and still works decently.
As is the case with the multipurpose outdoor speakers, they tend to be heavier on the bass side of the spectrum and the Zaap Aqua is no exception. There is a mic in-built using which you can take calls and the quality of the mic is decent at best and gets the job done. Coming to the battery, there isn’t any word on the capacity numbers but the speaker easily lasts for about 5 hours and charging takes about 2 hours.

The Zaap Aqua Bluetooth speakers are good for people looking for a rugged outdoor speaker. With the ruggedness, you do get added bonus but you lose out on the sound. The speakers provide a decent amount of bass, keeping the soundstage on a flatter spectrum.
