Airtel Broadband users are in for a bonanza, the new ‘myHome Rewards program’. Broadband users of Airtel will get 5GB of extra data benefit for every other Airtel connection, postpaid mobile or digital TV (DTH), within the family every month. Consumers can avail this offer for the existing as well as new Airtel postpaid mobile and digital TV connection.
It means if a home has subscribed to two postpaid mobile and one digital TV connection from Airtel an additional 15 GB data will be added to their broadband account every month. All Airtel broadband customers have been asked to use the myAirtel app or go to airtel.in/my home site to register their connection and claim the myHome rewards in the form of extra free 5GB data for their broadband connection.

The Telecom scene is getting more and more competitive with new players like Reliance Jio offering services at low prices which have forced other service providers to follow suit. The market has seen stagnation and has compelled service providers to cut prices or offer more data at the same price.
Reliance Jio has been able to attract 15 lakh customers on its network by offering free unlimited calling a 4G data for 90 days on a trial basis. In mid-July, Airtel started offering 67% more data for its 3G and 4G service subscribers. Idea Cellular and Vodafone followed suit.
Airtel broadbands in Delhi typically start at Rs. 899 and provide 10 GB of data at 8 Mbps speed along with unlimited local and STD calling. The rate increases with data speed and can go up to Rs. 4,799 for 200 GB data at 100 Mbps. The latest step is an extension of the efforts to woo more broadband consumers to its fold and so also to protect migration of subscribers to other networks. Last year in August Airtel had slashed the rates of its broadband by more than 30% for new broadband consumers. It recently announces unlimited voice calling for its postpaid subscribers which include free roaming as well.
