Vivo NEX gets a price cut of Rs. 5,000, Dual Display Edition coming to India?

The Chinese smartphone giant Vivo did a remarkable job with the launch of Vivo NEX smartphone back in July, last year. Thanks to the unique form factor, it has been one of the most innovative smartphones of 2018. Now that the company has launched its successor, the price of Vivo NEX has been permanently discounted by Rs. 5,000 in the country.

Launched at a price of Rs. 44,990, the smartphone can now be purchased on Amazon.in for Rs. 39,990.

This futuristic smartphone boasts of a bezel-less display with a whopping 91.24 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The front camera is hidden on the top frame for the same cause. Powered by the motorised sliders, the camera pops up automatically whenever required and retracts back when not in use. Nonetheless, the smartphone further touts flagship grade specifications. Furthermore, the in-display fingerprint scanner acts as a cherry on the cake.

Vivo NEX Amazon Offers

In addition to the permanent price cut on the Vivo NEX, Amazon is propounding a plethora of other offers bundled with the device. Buyers can hook a discount of up to Rs. 21,000 on exchanging their old smartphone with the Nex. You will also be benefited by extra Rs. 5,000 off on the exchange value while buying the device from seller Appario Retail Pvt Ltd.

Moving on, there is a 10% instant discount for the use of Yes Bank credit card on EMI purchase. On the other hand, HDFC customers can use their credit cards and debit cards to avail 5% and 10% instant discounts, respectively. We also do have No Cost EMI options available on Bajaj Finserv EMI cards and other major credit cards.

Vivo NEX Specifications

The Vivo Nex sports a nearly bezel-less 6.59-inch Super AMOLED FullView display with a Full-HD+ screen resolution of 2316×1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. As mentioned, the panel further touts an in-display fingerprint scanner alongside an impressive screen to body ratio of 91.2%.

Under the hood, the device gets powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Note that there’s no microSD card for storage expansion.

For photography, the Vivo Nex gets dual rear cameras, featuring 12MP+5MP shooters with the primary sensor having 1.4μm pixels, f/1.8 large aperture and 4-axis OIS. Up front, the device has an 8MP elevating selfie-cam with f/2.0 aperture.

On the software front, the Vivo NEX runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Funtouch OS 4.0 on top. Backing up all of this is a massive 4000mAh battery that supports dual charging technology. Connectivity features on the dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, as well as OTG support. Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition Indian Launch?

Continuing the presence of innovative appeal with the NEX-series, the company launched the Vivo NEX Dual Display edition last month in China.

Being a successor to the original NEX, the new edition comes with dual displays on both front and rear. Other notable highlights include triple cameras, 10GB RAM, in-display fingerprint scanner, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and a 3,500mAh battery with fast charging.

While we have repetitive rumours concerning the Indian launch, the price cut on the older model is a definitive hint for the new arrival. To recall, the Vivo NEX Dual Display edition was launched in China for a price tag of CNY 4,998.
