LG X Screen India launch set for July 18: Things you need to know

LG India will launch X Screen smartphone this Monday. Even though the company unveiled the device ahead of MWC 2016, its roll out started in March (Globally). It has taken a few months for LG to bring the device to India.

Borrowing one of the prominent features from the LG G5 and LG V10, LG X Screen is also going to offer an ‘always on’ display. The primary screen on the smartphone will be a 4.93-inch screen with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. It is an IPS LCD display offering 298 pixels per inch while the secondary screen has a size of 1.76-inch with a resolution of 520×80 pixels. The ‘always on’ screen sits atop the bigger screen.

The second screen will carry out all the notifications for calls and applications. It will keep on functioning voluntarily without disrupting the current activity. It will also allow the users to check for time, date, battery levels and a few other notifications without turning on the main screen or the device.

LG X Screen offers an inbuilt storage capacity of around 16 GB which can be further extended up to 2 TB with the help of a microSD card. The phone is equipped with a modest 2300 mAh battery. It has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with a 2GB RAM. The handset measures 142.6×71.8×7.1mm and does support 4G LTE connectivity as well. As of now, the company has informed that the device will be available in colors – Black, White and Pink Gold.

For the camera enthusiasts, the X Screen is coming in with a 13-megapixel rear shooter with Autofocus, LED flash and digital zoom feature whereas it is offering an 8-megapixel front cam for selfies. The device is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The NFC-enabled device will be available for Rs. 12,999.
