LG has teased the upcoming LG G6 with support for waterproof capabilities and wireless charging. Dubbed to launch during the upcoming MWC 2017, LG is gearing up to unveil something big in 2017 to bring back the lost charm.
LG G5, released in 2016, didn’t get the required traction from customers due to the modular design and the cost associated with the accessories. According to company sources, the upcoming LG G6 will set new benchmarks in the smartphone industry by bringing in state of the art features and specifications.
Based on the latest teaser released ahead of the official MWC 2017 launch, we can infer that the LG G6 will feature waterproof capabilities, a large display including a design with excellent grip. The video showcased by the company signals the fact that the phone will be equipped with water-resistant features. It also provides a complete wish list of users who demand from premium smartphones.
Moreover, the video also reveals a durable handset, which will be capable of fewer damages due to display cracks. If the rumors are to be believed, the LG G6 will feature a large display in a compact body.
To recall, LG had launched a 5.7-inch QHD+ display with a pixel density of 564 PPI and aspect ratio of 18:9. There is a possibility that the new phone will ship with the latest display with a bezel-less panel. However, there is no official confirmation, and hence you should accept this with a pinch of salt.
Meanwhile, the display in the LG G6 will be manufactured in such a way to enable you to experience an impressive viewing experience. Moreover, you will be able to perform multi-tasking capabilities including the use of dual-screen functionality easily.
Under the hood, the LG G6 will feature a Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB RAM. The phone will most likely ship with a removable battery with Quick Charge 4.0 support and wireless charging. Expected to be designed using a blend of metal and glass, the LG G6 is expected to cost between $500 to $600.
That said, we will have to wait until LG G6 is officially unveiled at the forthcoming MWC 2017. We will continue to keep track of the developments and provide updates. Stay tuned with PC Tablet.
