Brainwavz M2 are noise-isolating IEM earphones that come at a price tag of Rs. 3,499. Apart from that, Brainwavz promises an intense and detailed bass from these earphones and is comfortable to ear. Unboxing
Brainwavz M2 earphones come in a cardboard box packing with a beautiful transparent window to show off the earphones. Everything including the earphones is packed inside the hard carry case that comes along with it. We also got six set of silicon ear tips (S, M, L), one set of bi-flange tips, one shirt clip, one set of Comply foam tips, velcro cable tie, and the instruction manual.
Build and Design
Brainwavz M2 looks great with the nice and shiny metal casing and black plastic accent over it. There is no “Brainwavz” branding on the earbuds which I like the most. There is no real wire strain relief connecting wires to earbuds; these are just rubber sleeves attached to the cable and the earbud. The wire is braided and covered with some plastic material making it “looks” tangle-free but it’s not, one you put it into your pocket it’s hard to untangle it. Well, it’s not much of an issue because you are getting a hard carry case with it.
The Brainwavz M2 is sturdy and light weight despite the fact that the earbud casing is made of metal. These earphones are much durable than other earphones with rubber casing wires. The 3.5 mm gold plated plug is L-shaped (45 degrees) which is good for iPhones, iPad, and devices with 3.5 mm port on the bottom edge.

Performance
First, let’s talk about the comfort; Brainwavz M2 are very light weight as I said before which keeps the earbuds in ears even if you are moving. The bi-flange tips add one more level to comfort; it fits directly into your ears and won’t fall off easily. The shirt clip keeps the wire organized around your body while you are running or speed walking.
The sound quality of these earphones is much satisfying from all the other earphones I used. The bass from Brainwavz M2 is just right; you can feel the bass inside your head, but it won’t feel like it’s hurting your ears. I even felt the bass from the music which I thought is bass-less while using my previous earphones.
Best genre
As a Pop lover, I really enjoyed listening to some pop music while traveling like “Starving – Hailee Steinfeld ft. ZEDD”, “Rock Bottom – Hailee Steinfeld ft. DNCE” and Mike Posner of course. The bass is detailed, but it degrades as volume slides below 80% of the max volume. I am a metal fan too! And these earphones let me down here, the new hit from “Metallica: Hardwired to self-destruct” doesn’t sound nice. The guitar solo from “Slash” in “Sweet child o mine” is the part which energizes me but these earphones don’t create that magic, the clarity you look for in Metal music was something I missed in these earphones.
