Apple is expected to release a new standalone 5K game monitor in collaboration with LG. Revealing this information by sources close to the Cupertino-based company to Bloomberg, the company is gearing up to manufacture a high-resolution 5K display. In June 2016, Apple discontinued the 27-inch Thunderbolt display, which was the first ever display product by the company. In addition to 5K monitor, Apple is also working on to release AMD graphics variants of iMac and updated MacBook Air. According to reports, the newly refreshed devices will feature a multi-functional USB-C port. This means you will be able to make use of the port for both saving data and charging via fast charging technology. According to industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is unlikely to invest in resources to manufacture thin and light devices since it is currently manufacturing the new MacBook series.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg also confirmed Kuo’s predictions by stating that a massive MacBook Pro refresh is in the pipeline. The new MacBook Pro will be expected to arrive before the end of December 2016. According to sources, the new MacBook Pro will be equipped with an OLED touch bar, USB Type-C port, and Thunderbolt 3. The new laptop will be designed in a slim aluminum chassis for easy portability.
The all-new OLED touch bar
Referred as “Dynamic Function Row”, the OLED touch bar will display not only a virtual row of function keys but also app-specific commands. For instance, the touch bar will display granular controls, which enable you to edit clips in iMovie. You can also access special search tools in Safari.
The report further added that controls for certain important Mac system functions are to be made available at all times. This includes volume adjustment assets in addition to a switch to toggle back to the macOS function bar.
iPad Pro to ship with enhanced Apple Pencil features
Talking about iPad Pro, Apple is expected to develop a unique software to leverage the benefits of Apple Pencil’s user input capabilities. There are reports that the content you draw using the pencil will be automatically uploaded to the cloud.
Apparently, Apple is also working on to integrate annotation features across the iOS platform, which includes apps such as Mail, Safari, and iMessage.
Apple iPad Pro October release
Even though we don’t have an exact time frame of iPad Pro launch, sources reveal to us that the company will announce the new tablet before the end of October. We can also expect an announcement about the upcoming iPad Pro during the upcoming iPhone 7 launch.
You need not have to expect any enhancements to the iPad and Apple Pencil until 2017. This is because the company has decided to reserve all the new features till September 2017 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of iPhone release in grand style.
