Samsung Galaxy Note 8 officially launched in India today at an event New Delhi. The smartphone already revealed by Samsung last month in New York. Samsung for the first time used a dual camera setup on Galaxy Note 8, and it is the first ever smartphone to feature OIS in both the camera lens. The dual camera setup includes a wide aperture lens and a telephoto lens which provides 2X optical zoom without degrading the image quality.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 Specifications: The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features the same infinity display which we have seen on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. The form factor is similar to Galaxy S8 except for the curves; Galaxy Note 8 has the square corners. The Note 8 apparently comes with an S-Pen but with improved 4096 level of the pressure sensors. it comes with Bixby support as well.

The Galaxy Note 8 is the first smartphone from Samsung which is rated at IP68, and this means that the smartphone is water as well as dust resistant and can survive 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. The back panel of the phone is gorilla glass 5, and yes it comes with the 3.5 mm audio port and AKG earphones bundled in the box. Coming to the hardware of the Galaxy Note 8; it features the latest Exynos 8995 Octa-Core processor with of 6GB RAM. The display is 6.3 inches Quad HD SuperAMOLED panel with minimal bezels on the top, and the bottom part, the pixel density of the display is 521 PPI.

On the back, the smartphone sports the dual camera setup which includes two 12MP sensors with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) in both the lenses. This dual camera setup includes a telephoto lens which lets you create the Bokeh effect and the 2X optical zoom. It comes with 64GB storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

For connectivity options, the Galaxy Note 8 comes with the 4G VoLTE connectivity, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, NFC and all the necessary sensors. The Galaxy Note 8 features a rather small 3300 mAh battery which features fast charging and wireless charging.

Price and Availability: The Galaxy Note 8 comes in Gold and Black colors and is priced at Rs. 67,990 in India. The company is also offering screen replacement as introductory offer. For those who pre-book the device, the company is also offering free wireless charger. The device will be available for pre-order starting today and will go on sale from September 21st from Amazon.in, Samsung Shop online and offline stores as well.
