Google Pixel specs leak reveal major camera, processor details and more

Google 7-inch Android tablet

Just last week, news of Google’s 7-inch Huawei-made Android tablet surfaced on the web, expected to be launched alongside the upcoming Nexus smartphones. Now, new information about the device has appeared revealing more specifications of the upcoming tablet.

According to reports, the upcoming Huawei-made 7-inch Google tablet is said to feature a 7-inch Quad HD display. The tablet is expected to get powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor bundled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. It is also expected to get a 13MP rear-facing camera.

Google’s upcoming tablet will be called Google Pixel 7P?

That said, it’s still not clear what the tablet will be called? But given that Huawei registered for a trademark ‘7P’ earlier this year, it is believed that it could eventually be called the Google Pixel 7P.

Moreover, the fact that Google now focusing all of its mobile hardware on the name Pixel, the Nexus branding may well be dead soon. Besides, several reports even suggest that upcoming phones from Google won’t even get the Nexus branding.

As they’ll likely be called the Pixel and Pixel XL. The rumored Sailfish variant will be called ‘Pixel’, while the larger 5.5-inch Marlin variant will likely be called the Pixel XL. Google is expected to launch the Pixel smartphones first, followed by the rumored 7-inch tablet. Some sources even suggest it could announce all three devices at the same event.

If this rumor turns out to be to be true, we may finally have a true successor to the Nexus 7 which launched back in 2013. Built by Asus, the Nexus 7, is still considered by many as Google’s best Android tablet ever. Later, the company did launch the HTC-made Nexus 9, but it failed to live up to the expectations and benchmarks set by the original. With the new 7-inch Huawei-made tablet, it seems Google is planning to bring a true successor to 2013’s Nexus 7.

Google Pixel Tablet Release Date

Google is expected to hold a major hardware event on October 4, where we can expect the company to announce the new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. And the company might also announce the new 7-inch Huawei-built at the event, along with a new Chromecast capable of 4K playback, Google Home, and the DayDream VR headset. Are you excited about Google’s upcoming hardware devices.
