The ever so popular Grand i10 hatch from Hyundai gets its first major design overhaul. The South Korean automaker just revealed the European version of facelifted car. The hatch is known as just the i10 in Europe, and the new facelift version features several design changes along with new features. Most of the changes are seen on the car’s front. The Hyundai i10 facelift now flaunts a new front fascia inspired the company’s proprietary Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language. As we can see in the images, the front bumper gets redesigned which allows better air intake. In addition, we can also see revamped fog light housings flanked by chrome bezels. The Hyundai i10 facelift will also get LED daytime running lights, housed right above the edges of the front grille.
While the sides of the Hyundai i10 facelift appear more or less similar to the current gen i10, barring a few key changes. For instance, it gets new stylized ORVMs, redesigned door moldings which appear more aggressive on curves, along with new sporty 14-inch alloy wheels. Besides, even the back of the car gets several design tweaks, such as a new stylish bumper decked in black featuring large reflectors, revamped tail lamp clusters and hatch door along with a new spoiler.
Coming to the interiors, the Grand i10 facelift sports a new dual-tone cabin featuring a red and black color scheme. Customers also get to choose among blue and black interiors on all trims. Besides, the upcoming Hyundai i10 facelift will also get new connectivity features such as a new 7-inch touchscreen navigation with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Other new features onboard the Grand i10 facelift will include automatic air conditioning, heated steering wheels, and front seat warmer. The higher spec variants will have safety features like Front Collision Warning System (FCWS) and a Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).
The former (FCWS) warns the driver of oncoming obstacles and road hazards, while the latter is automatically triggered as soon as you cross speeds of 60kmph. It essentially warns the driver if the car is moving towards the edges of a lane and triggers an alarm if they do so.
The Euro-spec i10 facelift comes in two petrol engine options – a 1.0 inline and a 1.25-litre inline four engines. Both of the engines come mated to a standard 5-speed manual gearbox or an optional 4-speed automatic transmission. The 1.0-litre engine delivers 66 PS of power and 94 Nm of torque, while the 1.2-litre engine churns out 87 PS of power and 120 Nm of torque.
