New Delhi, 6th August, 2015: ASUS launched the new line-up of its flagship smartphone, ASUS Zenfone 2, which includes Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Zenfone Laser, Zenfone Selfie and Asus Zenfone Max along with new Asus ZenPad tablets series for Indian consumers, at an exclusive ZenFestival event held at country’s capital.
Commenting on the event, ASUS Design Center Director – Jen Chaung said, “We are very happy to bring out latest Zenfone models and all-new ZenPad Series to the Indian market.”
ASUS Zenfone Max: Specifications and Features
The ASUS Zenfone Max (ZC550KL) is the latest addition to the hugely-successful Zenfone family. The Zenfone Max sports a premium leather design and features a bright and clear 5.5-inch (1280 x 720p) HD IPS display with wide viewing angles, laminated by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4, which protects it from any kind of accidental bumps and scratches.
Powered by a powerful yet power-efficient 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM, the ASUS Zenfone Max sports a 13MP PixelMaster camera with Laser Auto Focus as fast as 0.3 seconds and a dual LED Real Tone flash support. And on the front, it sports a 5MP PixelMaster camera with a wide f/2.0 aperture.
The ASUS Zenfone Max runs on brand-new ASUS ZenUI, which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The handset can be obtained in two different variants based on internal storage i.e. 8GB and 16GB variants. The storage capacity of the smartphone can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
Connectivity-wise, the dual-SIM Zenfone comes with 4G LTE Cat4 support, including 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth4.0 with (EDR + A2DP), A-GPS, Micro USB 2.0 and 3.5mm Audio Jack port.
The highlight of the new ASUS Zenfone Max is its incredibly long-lasting high-capacity 5,000mAh non-removable lithium-polymer battery that gives users an unprecedented amount of battery life. The company touts that it can deliver 2 times more 3G Talktime compared to Apple iPhone 6 Plus.
The smartphone can also be used as a Power Bank, as we can charege any other smartphone using micro-USB cable.

Availability of ASUS Zenfone Max
The ASUS Zenfone Max will be available from October 2015 in India for online purchase exclusively through Flipkart, ASUS Exclusive Stores, and authorized retailers.
Price of ASUS Zenfone Max
The company has not yet revealed the price details officially, but if rumors are to be believed, ASUS Zenfone Max is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs. 17,000 – Rs. 20,000.
