Asus launches three new ZenPad tablets: Specs and Price Details

Asus has introduced a completely new lineup up of flagship tablets under the branding of Asus ZenPad. Asus showcased its newest portfolio of flagship products at company’s first ever ZenFestival, held in India.

Asus ZenPad comes in three different variants – ZenPad C 7.0, ZenPad 7.0 and ZenPad 8.0, which possess similar design specifications such as rounded corners and metallic frames.

Asus ZenPad C 7.0:

Asus ZenPad C 7.0 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. It sports 7-inch IPS WSVGA display with 1024×600 resolution and 170 ppi.

The Z170MG model is powered by a 1.3GHz Mediatek MT8382V/W Quad-core SoC and Mali-450MP4 GPU, whereas Intel Atom x3-C3200 Quad-core SoC and Mali-450 MP4 GPU powers the Z170CG model.

However, both the variants of Asus ZenPad C 7.0 comes equipped with 1GB LPDDR3 RAM and offers 8GB of internal storage, which can further be expanded up to 64GB via microSD slot.

Connectivity wise, Asus ZenPad C 7.0 works with 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, aptX, and Miracast. The tablet features 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

Asus ZenPad C 7.0 offers 3450mAh Li-Polymer battery, which is expected to deliver up to 8. hours of battery backup on standard usage.

Asus ZenPad 7.0:

Asus ZenPad 7.0 (Z370CG) also runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box. It sports 7-inch IPS HD WXGA display with 1280×800 resolution and 216 ppi.

The device is powered by Intel Atom x3-C3230 Quad-core SoC and Mali-450MP4 GPU. It offers 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which allows storage expandability up to 128GB via microSD slot.

It features 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The battery specifications of Asus ZenPad 7.0 are similar to Asus ZenPad C 7.0.

Asus ZenPad 8.0:

Running Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Z380KL) is powered by Qualcomm MSM8929 Quad-core SoC (Quad 1.36GHz+Quad 1.0GHz) and Adreno 405GPU.

Asus ZenPad 8.0 sports 8-inch IPS HD WXGA display with 1280×800 resolution and 189 ppi. It offers 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which one can expand up to 64GB via microSD.

Asus ZenPad 8.0

The 8-inch ZenPad tablet offers 4000mAh Li-Polymer battery, which company promises to deliver up to 10 hours of battery backup.

Asus ZenPad 8.0 supports OTG and features 8-megapixel/5-megapixel primary cameras as well as 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

Asus VisualMaster:

Asus VisualMaster is based on company’s in-house visual enhancement technologies that optimize both, hardware and software aspects of the device.

The technology incorporates several aspects such as contrast, sharpness, color, visual clarity, and brightness, etc.

Bare essentials (not really):

Asus ZenPad goes a step beyond its nutshell with an ability over design customization, which enables additional features and color options with the help of fashion accessories, cases, and audio cover.

Price and Availability:

Asus ZenPad C 7.0 costs Rs. 11,999 whereas ZenPad 7.0 (with audio cover) has a price tag of Rs. 14,999. At the other hand, Asus ZenPad 8.0 (without audio cover) costs Rs. 14,999 while the one with audio cover will be sold for Rs. 17,999.

All the Asus ZenPad tablets will go on sale sometime this month on Flipkart and company authorized retail stores.
