Premier Medical and Research institution of the Nation, AIIMS or the All India Institution of Medical Science, New Delhi, is soon to become cashless. Contributing to the drive to make India digital and payments cashless, the premier institution has announced that in partnership with MobiKwik, it is going to make its services cashless. By the first week of January, it will make payments of doctor’s consultation charges, tests and other services cashless. Already Junior Doctors and staff along with visitors are paying food and snacks in the cafeteria by debit cards or other forms of e-payment options.
AIIMS was established in 1956 and has carved a niche for itself as a premier research and health service provider institution in the country. Every year more than 25000 patients receive the best health care services and treatment for all ailments.
MobiKwik co-founder Upasana Taku was upbeat after the association with AIIMS and said that they are proud to be contributing to the efforts to make India Digital and helping the common man during the current situation of a cash crunch.
Ever since the demonetization drive by the government to preempt black money, e-wallet companies like PayTM and Mobikwik have seen a gargantuan growth. The ensuing cash crunch has forced even the most diehard critics of e-payments have fallen in line and started using the services. Mobikwik is offering a lot of extra perks like offering microloans to users who are short of money. It has already tied up with many big Whigs of the industry like Amul, IRCTC and allows e-cash payments for tatkal bookings. MobiKwik has claimed that users can pay within two seconds to buy a tatkal railway ticket.
Mobikwik today has more than 45 million users under its ambit. It has also launched a low data 1mb app, MobiKwik lite which is very effective in locations with low data connectivity and obsolete smartphones. It is also facilitating online payments for students of Jawahar Lal University and also IIT, New Delhi.
