On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Redmi 3S features a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 13MP rear camera paired with a 5MP front-facing snapper.
Manufactured using all-metal unibody, the Redmi 3S features MIUI 7 on top of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. However, you will be eligible for an upgrade to MIUI 8, which will be available during the middle of August. There are reports that the smartphone will also ship with Android Lollipop.

However, you will have to pay around Rs. 9,000 for the Pro variant with 3GB RAM. The handset will be rolled out in silver, grey, and golden color variants.
Based on the rumored specifications, the Redmi 3S will be a key product for the company. Xiaomi expects to sell the handset well in emerging markets like India because of the fingerprint sensor and fast charging technology.
Xiaomi upcoming products
In addition to Redmi 3S, Xiaomi will also launch 4GB variant of Mi Max with 128GB internal storage in India. You can also expect the official launch of Xiaomi Redmi Pro in India.
Xiaomi has been placed on the list of top 10 smartphone manufacturers worldwide. However, unlike other competitors like Vivo, the Chinese company hasn’t been able to improve the total number of shipments to India. With Vivo crossing one million shipments, Xiaomi is working hard to beat them.
Talking about the software segment, Xiaomi is expected to launch the stable version of MIUI 8 on August 15. The company will also launch a VR headset based on Daydream technology in August alongside several new smartphones.
