Xiaomi will reportedly unveil its rumored flagship Mi5 phone in 2015

Xiaomi Mi5

The third leading smartphone maker Xiaomi will reportedly launch its flagship Mi5 phone in 2015. Leaked photos and rumored specifications speculate the Chinese phone maker to pack Xiaomi Mi5 with top-of-the-line specs that even Samsung and Apple phones might not be having at the moment.

Xiaomi Mi5 is anticipated to feature a rare combo of a fingerprints scanner and a sapphire display. The device reportedly features a 5.7-inch display and quad HD 2560 x 1440 screen resolution.

Xiaomi Mi5 will be powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The phone will be packed with 3 GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, 4G LTE support and Adreno 430 graphics chipset.

Xiaomi Mi5 is believed to feature a 20.7 MP rear camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor compared to its predecessor Xiaomi Mi4’s 13 MP Sony IMX214 camera. Xiaomi Mi5 will come with stylish ultra-slim bezels, underscoring a striking design change from Mi4.

The phone will be larger than Xiaomi Mi4’s 5-inch display and offer better resolution than its predecessor’s full-HD 1080 x 1920 pixels.

Xiaomi was earlier reported to release about 50,000 units for its limited edition Xiaomi Mi4. Now the newest leaked image suggests the alleged Mi5 handset under preparation.

Reportedly, Xiaomi may unveil its flagship Xiaomi Mi5 as early as next week, during the CES 2015. Xiaomi is also preparing to release the long awaited new edition of Redmi 1s on Sunday, January 4, 2014.

This new Dual 4G LTE Edition will be powered by Qualcomm’s 64 bit Snapdragon 410, 8GB ROM, 1GB RAM and 2200mAh battery. The phone features 8 MP back camera, 2 MP front cameras and Android 4.4 based MIUI 6.0.
