Xiaomi Redmi 5 leak reveals Specs, Design and Pricing

After the great success of Redmi 4 series, Xiaomi is reportedly working on Xiaomi Redmi 5. Some confirmed leaks are revealing the details about the specifications, and features of the Redmi 5, the rumor also defines the design of the phone to some extent. According to the leaked advertisement banner, it is confirmed that the fingerprint sensor is placed at the back.

The design looks similar to most of the Redmi series smartphones; the camera placement, the capacitive buttons, and fingerprint sensor are placed exactly where they were on Redmi 4. Only the antenna lines are set differently in Redmi 5 according to the picture in the advert banner.

The design is still not confirmed, and it is only a presumption, the specifications are also still presumed which are listed here. The rumors come up with the specifications of Redmi 5 are that it will come with a mid-range processor like Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 or 630.The device might pack a 3680 mAh battery which is significantly smaller battery than the Redmi 4.

The Redmi 5 might support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 to charge the massive battery faster. The display is going to be a 5-inch HD resolution which should be better because of Redmi 4 rock the similar screen right now. Redmi 5 might have 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage with eMMC 5.1 speeds. The pricing also has been leaked in the banner which shows that the Redmi 5 will be starting at nearly $125 (approx. Rs. 8,000) for 16GB and 3GB variant. The 32GB + 3GB RAM variant coming at nearly $152 (Approx. Rs. 9,700). The higher version is starting at $191 for 64GB storage and 4GB RAM.
