Xiaomi appears to be preparing for another big launch in India. This time it is the Redmi 4. Xiaomi India VP Manu Kumar Jain tweeted saying that the company is going to do a second big announcement this month.

It has still not been intimated by the company which device is going to be launched, but after the Redmi Note 4A, it is likely that the Redmi 4 will be unveiled.
So far there is no information about the arrival of Redmi 4 Prime in India.
The Redmi 4 features a 5-inch HD display (720×1280 pixels). Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, the smartphone has 2GB RAM and 16GB inernal storage.
The metal unibody design with 2.5D Glass, and has a selfie glass of 5MP and a rear camera of 13MP. As expected, the smartphone has a powerful battery of 4,100 mAh (lithium-polymer) with fast charger. The Redmi 4 is supposed to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with MIUI 8 as skin.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the Redmi 4 will have Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, FM Radio, microUSB 2.0, infrared and 3.5-mm headphone jack.
Canalys has pegged Xiaomi to be the second biggest smartphone company in India. It has retained the title from the last quarter of 2016. Cheap Redmi smartphones have done exceptionally well in India and with the launch of a new ‘Redmi’ phone, it is likely that their existing numbers will take a huge raise.
In China, the phone is priced at 699 Yuan, which means it will cost around INR 7,000 in India. Xiaomi is considered to have one of the best user interface in the industry. Its simplicity along with the high-end specs of its flagships have resulted in a rising fame within a short span of time. The success of its smartphones aren’t solely dependent on their prices, it has a lot to do with what the devices usually offer for those prices.
