Chinese tech brand Xiaomi has unveiled the new series of devices at the event in China today. The event starts with the launch of Mi laptops followed by Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3 smartphones. The latest iteration of Mi Mix 2 is packed with a ceramic unibody design and 5.99 inches QHD panel which comes with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is designed by the famous French designer Philip Starck.
The Mi MIX 2 sports a 5.99-inches FHD (1080×2160 pixels) 18:9 display compared to the 6.2-inch on the Mi MIX. It is powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at up to 2.45GHz and coupled with 6GB of RAM with 64//128/256GB storage, and there is also a special edition Mi MIX 2 with 8GB RAM. It runs on Android 7.1.1 MIUI 9. Regarding optics, the Mi Mix 2 is packed with 12MP Sony Exmor IMX386 lens on the back with LED flash and OIS. The Mi Mix 2 is built on 7-Series aluminum, holding in the four-sided curved ceramic body. Also, the smartphone adheres 12% smaller chin compare to its predecessor.
The Mi Mix 2 smartphone comes in Black color variant and it packed with the company proprietary ‘cantilever piezoelectric ceramic acoustic technology’ which delivers sound through the metal frame. This is done by installing a 50mW speaker with a sound guiding tube and hole. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back down below the rear camera module.
Pricing: The Mi Mix 2 comes in a three ROM variants i:e 64/128/256GB which further comes with a different price tag. The 6GB/64GB variant is priced at RMB3299 (Rs. 32,335), While the 6GB/128GB option will cost around RMB3599 (Rs. 35,289). Whereas, the 6GB/256GB variants will come with a price tag of RMB3999 (Rs.39210).
