Xiaomi confirmed to launch two new products on July 27

Xiaomi has announced a new conference scheduled for July 27. It has not made any statement regarding what devices are going to be released. Recent rumours have risen hopes of two devices to be released by the company.

It appears that the rumours could be true, because Xiaomi’s director of new media, Lu, via his Weibo account has revealed that there will be two devices, indeed.

His post reveals that the name of the first product will have three letters and the second one has five (in Chinese). Judging by the statement made, the two most probable devices are the Redmi Note 4 and Xiaomi Notebook.

The Note 4 is expected to be the company’s first dual-rear camera phone. The laptop is supposed to come in three different display size variants (12.5-inch, 13.3-inch, and 15.6-inch). CEO Lei Jun in an interview said that he couldn’t talk about the product, yet. Thus, he involuntarily may have confirmed its existence.

The key expected specs include a 5.7-inch display (yes, it could be another phablet), 6GB RAM in the highest variant of the three.

The pictures released on Gizmochina show the laptop to have a look similar to that of a MacBook Pro. The all-metal casing with the Mi logo in the centre seems highly inspired by the Apple product.

As far as the specs of the laptop are concerned, they are expected to be high-end, just like that of their smartphones. The device is rumoured to feature a 64-bit Intel Skylake U-Series Core i7 processor clocked at 2.50 GHz. The processor is said to be coupled with the HD Graphics 520 which will work with a dedicated GeForce 820M. Since this is a first, there has been no speculation about its price.

Stay tuned for more updates on Xiaomi products.
