The Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has now expanded its portfolio in India with the launch of the all-new Vivo Y95, yet another mid-range smartphone under its Y-series.
Unveiled first in China earlier this month, the Vivo Y95 is evidently the successor to the Vivo Y93 and brings in a revamped design and upgraded internals over the same.

The Vivo Y95 comes with a 6.22-inch IPS LCD panel having an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels in a 19:9 aspect ratio. It also boasts a water-drop notch, aiding to an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 88.6%.
Under the hood, the device gets powered by 12nm-based Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC coupled with Adreno 505 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The given MicroSD card slot allows for storage expansion of up to 256GB.
As for the optics, the Vivo Y95 features a dual-lens camera system at the back, featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor with a f/2.2 aperture, alongside a 2-megapixel f/2.4 sensor for depth sensing. There’s also an AI-powered 20-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies and video calls that incorporates several features like face beauty, portrait mode, panorama, AR stickers, and more.
On the software front, the device runs the company’s custom FunTouch OS 4.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. A large 4,030mAh battery backs all of this. Additional features include Face Unlock, a dedicated AI Game Mode that helps in managing Floating Call Alerts, an improved Game Keyboard and Background Calling. Lastly, the connectivity options include Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, OTG and FM.
Vivo Y95: Price and Availability
Priced at Rs. 16,990, the Vivo Y95 is available in Starry Night and Nebula Purple colour options. The device will compete with the Honor 8X and Realme 2 Pro under this price bracket. Apart from the offline outlets, it will be sold via all major online stores including Amazon, Flipkart, PaytmMall and Vivo E-store.
