Vivo V5 selfie-centric phone to launch in India on November 15: Specs and price

Vivo V5 will be launched with 20MP front-facing snapper on November 15. The company has already mailed media invites for the upcoming launch event. Moreover, Vivo has given few hints about the new features of the phone with a tagline “selfie evolution”.

Based on trends, manufacturers are paying more attention to the front-facing snapper with features such as built-in beautification mode and front flash among others. The main attraction of the Vivo V5 is the integration of a 20-megapixel front camera with a soft light LED flash.

Vivo V5 specifications

Expected to ship with a metal body design, the Vivo V5 is expected to be equipped with a 5.2-inch FHD 2.5D curved glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected display. Talking about the internals, the phone features a Snapdragon 652 processor, Adreno 510 graphics, 4GB RAM, 32GB expandable internal storage. You will be able to expand the storage to up to 128GB using microSD card.

Based on leaks, the V5 of Vivo will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The phone also includes a fingerprint sensor. However, the sensor will be embedded in the home button of the smartphone. There are reports that the handset will ship with 4G VoLTE support.

Regarding pricing, the Vivo smartphone is expected to be priced at Rs. 20,000. This will provide to be a tough challenge for emerging players such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Gionee, and LeEco.
