The Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has now launched Vivo U20 as a succesor to the Vivo U10 in India. For starters, the phone touts a massive 5,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 675 SoC and triple cameras as its main highlights. Besides, there’s a water-drop notch and support for fast charging.
Vivo U10: Specifications, Features
The Vivo U10 comes with a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) display with a 90.3 per cent screen-to-body ratio and a maximum brightness of 480 nits. The phone also gets Widevine L1 certification, meaning you can enjoy HD content on streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
Under the hood, the smartphone gets powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, which performs around 25% better than the Snapdragon 665 on the Vivo U10. Furthermore, there’s up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.1 storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
For photography, the Vivo U20 gets a total of three cameras at the rear. This includes a 16-megapixel primary shooter with the Sony IMX499 sensor and f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by a 120-degree 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. There’s also a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture for close-ups up to 4cm. For selfies, there’s a 16-megapixel camera, housed by the water-drop notch upfront.
On the software front, the device runs Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie. All of this is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery. And just like it’s predecessor, the phone does come with support for 18W dual-engine fast charging technology. Vivo claims the phone can last for 273 hours of standby time, 21 hours of Instagram usage, 17 hours of Facebook usage and 11 hours of YouTube usage on a single charge.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and Galileo. The phone measures 162.15 x 76.47 x 8.89mm and weighs about 193 grams.
Pricing, Availability
The Vivo U20 has been priced at Rs. 10,990 for the base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage in India. Whereas, the 6GB and 64GB storage model has been priced marginally higher at Rs. 11,990.
The phone will go on sale in Racing Black and Blaze Blue colour options starting 12 pm (noon) on November 28. It will be available via Amazon.in and the official Vivo e-shop with a host of launch offers including Rs. 1,000 off on prepaid purchase and no-cost EMI for up to 6 months.
