Rs 500 and 1000 currency note discontinued: Twitter reacts to PM Modi’s decision

In a recent development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an address to the nation has announced the decision to ban the use of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes WEF midnight of November 9. This decision means that you cannot use Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes for purchases and various other purposes. The move has been taken to curb Black Money and corruption.

Even though the Government has banned the usage of notes, you can still use them for booking railway, airline tickets, and Hospitals till November 11. The Government has also closed down Banks and ATMs on November 9 and 10. You will be able to exchange old notes for new until December 31.
