Paytm testing Paytm Wi-Fi to provide free Internet

Paytm will soon be launching Paytm WiFi across the country. Paytm Wi-Fi will initially be launched in beta. Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma has made an update over Facebook stating Paytm Wi-Fi service is under way.

Mr. Sharma posted a screenshot of a chat conversation indicating that the device is connected to a Wi-Fi named “PayTM Wi-Fi.” The screenshot further reveals that PayTM Wi-Fi is already in service at Noida Sector – 18 under the metro station.

He further added that people will soon get to access the Internet for free to use Paytm. However, it remains to be seen whether Paytm Wi-Fi will offer free access to the Internet or only Paytm.

Update: Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma has confirmed that free Paytm Wi-Fi will be equal Internet to every app/website, not just Paytm.
