Design and Build

Out of the box, the Bullets V2 boasts an excellent finish and build quality. Even the packaging is not what you’d expect from a typical sub Rs. 2,000 earphones. It’s rather hard to find such good packaging at this price point.

Moving on, the earphone itself is solidly made. The 3.5mm jack is straight, and you don’t have to worry about it coming out of the socket. Even the Y splitter is well-made and has good strain relief. Besides, the flat wire also makes the earphone less prone to tangles.

The Bullets V2 are also comfortable to wear for long listening sessions. Also, they’re super lightweight and doesn’t feel obtrusive in the ear. I could wear them comfortably for around a hour n a half, without even noticing something heavy or substantial in my ear.

Overall, the OnePlus Bullets V2 is a well-constructed headphone considering the price. My only complaint would be the placement of the three button configuration, as they are housed below right earphone making you lift your chin up to answer calls or skip tracks. It’s a nice touch to have such controls at your fingertips, though lifting your chin up all the time to make calls or skip tracks was a real hassle.

Performance and Sound Quality

Now, this where things start getting really good. I hooked up the earphone with my iPhone 5c and let it do its thing. And these sounded great! Pounding bass, neutral soundscape, decent sound isolation, the OnePlus Bullets V2’s sound signature is certainly leaps and bounds ahead of what I expected. Music sounds natural and pretty close to what musicians wanted their to music sound like. While I would have liked the bass to be a bit more atmospheric and punchy, I absolutely can’t downsize them for what they are.

The OnePlus Bullet V2 certainly pack a punch and offer excellent sound quality. Vocals and synths are produced with impressive detail and clarity, while the overall soundstage is nicely balanced without compromising on volume levels. I tested these earphones across a variety of electronic music ranging from deep house and chill step, and I for one moment can’t say that I didn’t enjoy the overall experience. For the price, they are certainly one of the better sounding earphones currently available in the market.

I may not be an expert on sound, but I can’t deny that I do enjoy listening to music. A lot of it! And the OnePlus Bullets V2 certainly did not disappoint. They are well-built and more importantly – they sound awesome! If you’re looking for an affordable set of earphones that sounds great and doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket, you should certainly give these a shot.
