OnePlus 7 Pro

While OnePlus is geared up for the upcoming OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro launch, we already have most of the specs, thanks to the leaks and reports. On top of that, the company’s CEO released a couple of teasers, suggesting that OnePlus is indeed going to focus on critical aspects of the upcoming flagships.

In the latest reveal, CEO Pete Lau revealed that in addition to having a Quad-HD+resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, OnePlus 7 Pro’s display would also support HDR10+ standard.

“HDR10+ is the future of not just television displays, but also smartphone displays as well. We hope that our newest device will set a new benchmark for the smartphone industry and open up a new world of visual fluidity for users. We’re glad we are leading the ranks in sharing quality technology with the world,” said PEte lau, ceo, oneplus.

Evidently, there are only a handful of smartphones complying to the HDR10+ standard. Therefore, it’s a perfect time for OnePlus to amp up their game in the smartphone industry. Note that the usual HDR10 standard goes to a maximum of 1,000 nits of spot brightness. The HDR10+, on the other hand, goes as high as 4,000 nits. Lately, the OnePlus 7 Pro grabbed DisplayMate’s A+ rating, and hence we think it is going to a pretty big deal for the company.

Following the same, Pete also revealed that the OnePlus 7 Pro would feature the UFS 3.0 flash storage standard resulting in even faster overall performance. Furthermore, he said that 7 Pro is likely to be the first smartphone with UFS 3.0 in the market provided that the Galaxy Fold won’t be live again by the time OnePlus arrives.
