Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus users in India in a bid to eliminate bugs. The company has started to soak test Android 7.0 Nougat on the Moto G4 Plus in Brazil earlier
The Moto G4 Plus owners in Brazil who have signed up for the Motorola Feedback Network started to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat, which measures 954MB of data.
Soak test verifies the stability of Android 7.0 Nougat
The main purpose of the soak test is to verify the stability and features of Android Nougat on the Moto G4 Plus over a specific period of time. If there are no problems associated with the update during the testing phase, the final release of the update will be rolled out to the general public by incorporating the gathered feedback.

Soak test aims to prevent bugs in the final release
The main aim of the soak test is to ensure that the latest Android platform is free from bugs after the public availability. You should note that LG V20 was the first smartphone to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. If rumors are to be believed, the Moto G4 Plus will be the first smartphone to ship with an update to Android 7.0 Nougat.
As of writing this, we don’t have any information about when the Android 7.0 Nougat will be available to Moto G4 Plus users outside Brazil. However, we expect the release of the update by the end of November 2016.
That being said, the Moto Z series is on the waiting list to receive Android Nougat update. In September, the company announced that Moto Z and Moto G4 will be refreshed with Android Nougat in Q4 2016.
The recently released Android 7.0 Nougat comes with a wide range of features in addition to the ability to view multiple windows simultaneously. Some of the other new features of Android 7.0 Nougat are the introduction of notification priority, night mode option, and the latest security fixes.
