On Thursday, September 10, 2015, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) – The leading utility vehicle manufacturer launched its much-awaited compact SUV- the TUV300 in India.
It is a sports utility vehicle that falls in the sub-4-metre segment and runs on diesel. Being M&M’s first car in three years, it is designed on an all-new platform giving it a tough, bold and stylish character. Its structure is inspired by a battle tank used by the military.
The starting price of TUV300 is Rs. 6.90 lakhs for the base T4 variant and it rises to Rs. 9.12 lakhs for its top model, T8 AMT.
This mini-SUV is positioned between M&M’s other SUV’s namely Quanto and Scorpio as its price range is slightly higher than Quanto and lower than Scorpio.
According to the experts, the amount of TUV300 is very appealing to lure the customers, and this may increase its sale.
This vehicle has a 1.5-litre engine that generates 84 horsepower with a fuel efficiency of 18.5 km per litre. It has the seating capacity for seven people.
Its amazing design is sure to give competition to many other SUVs including Ford’s EcoSport, Renault’s Duster, Hyundai’s Creta and Maruti’s S-Cross.
With the launch of this vehicle, M&M expects an increase in the company’s market share in this fast-growing segment of automobiles.
