Lenovo Vibe P2 gets benchmarked with 4GB RAM and Android Marshmallow

The Lenovo Vibe P1 has been on the customary trip to GFXBench, which is also where hardware details get spilled out. That is how we have got to learn quite a bit about the successor to the last year’s Lenovo Vibe P1.

Lenovo Vibe P2 Specs

From what is evident is that the Vibe P1 successor – assuming that it would be named Vibe P2 – will be built around a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset featuring a 2 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU having eight processing cores. It will also be aided by the Adreno 506 GPU to deal better with graphics files along with support from a 4 GB RAM. The device will also come pre-installed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box.

The above-mentioned specs are a step up from the 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core chip that the last gen Vibe P1 came with, along with a 2GB RAM.

Unfortunately, that is all that the benchmark listing reveals at the moment which again is far from the complete picture. However, taking a cue from the last year’s Vibe P1, which came with a 32 GB memory expandable to a max 128 GB, the Vibe P2 should at least be sticking to that if not bettering it further.

Meanwhile, the Vibe P1 also comes with a 5.5-inch full HD Gorilla Glass 3 display which is another bit to look forward to the new Vibe P2. That the upcoming handset will be 4G ready is also almost a certainty. The Vibe P1 is a dual SIM model, with both being 4G ready.

Among the other salient features of the Vibe P1 include a fingerprint sensor, rear 13 MP camera with auto-focus, along with a rather large 4900 mAh battery. That is not all as the Vibe P1 also came bundled with a 24W charger which Lenovo is claiming to be among the world’s fastest. This will allow the battery to get charged quickly in spite of its huge capacity. According to Lenovo, an hour is all it would take for the battery to attain full charge.

It would be pretty much safe to assume Lenovo won’t be downgrading on the specifications of the Vibe P1 with the sequel to it. That said, it will also be interesting to see how much Lenovo will build upon the Vibe P1 specs. Or perhaps the rest of the specs, which includes the display, internal storage, battery capacity along with the camera set up will largely remain the same in the Vibe P2.
