Lenovo has now announced a new generation of AI-enabled ThinkPad laptops and ThinkCentre PC for enterprise users in India. The new lineup comprises of four new laptops, namely ThinkPad T490, X390, P43s and P1 Gen 2. It is followed by two compact desktops dubbed as ThinkCentre Nano and Nano IoT.
Besides, the company has also unveiled ThinkVision 43.3-inch P44w ultra-wide dual-display monitor and ThinkSmart Hub 500, a smarter conferencing solution.
Commenting on the launch, Rahul Agarwal, CEO & MD, Lenovo India, said, “At Lenovo, we understand that today’s workforce is seeking devices that offer intuitive, secure features and faster, higher performance to improve their workday. ThinkPad is here to help them accomplish their most important goals.”
Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n & M90n-1 Nano IoT
The Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n is touted to be the most compact commercial desktop series in the world. Both the models are one-third the size of the ThinkCentre Tiny and bring up to 30 per cent energy savings annually compared to traditional desktops. The M90n has the size of a power bank with a thickness of 22mm and weighs around 505 grams.
The ThinkCentre M90n-1 Nano brings space-saving convenience and manageability to any vertical user as it can fit virtually anywhere – under the table, behind the monitor, or on a bookshelf, offering a clutter-free work environment. It can be powered by a compatible USB Type-C monitor or Type-C dock, thereby providing rich I/O possibilities to meet every business need.
Lenovo has further clarified that the ThinkCentre M90n-1 Nano IoT has a broader thermal range and is designed for higher vibration and thermal environments like manufacturing.
Lenovo ThinkPad T490, P43s, P1 (Gen 2) and ThinkSmart Hub 500
Lenovo ThinkPad T490
The Lenovo ThinkPad T490 gets a premium and lightweight design with 22% thin bezels than the previous generation. It offers 8th generation Intel Core i7 processors, Nvidia graphics, and rich audio and display features, aimed at multitasking professionals.
The T490 also features Dolby Audio Premium, with two front-firing speakers and dual far-field microphones for improved conferencing audio. Enterprise owners can manually opt between WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) and Full HD resolution panels. Lastly, the laptop is just 17.9mm thin and weighs starting 1.46kg.
Lenovo ThinkPad P43s
The Lenovo ThinkPad P43s, on the other hand, is one of the smallest enterprise workstations in the market. It features a WQHD resolution screen with 500 nits brightness, said to be capable of producing 100% Adobe Color Gamut. Additionally, the laptop supports Dolby Vision HDR technology and up to 2GB NVIDIA Quadro P520 graphics card.
Lenovo ThinkPad P1
The Lenovo ThinkPad P1 packs in Intel Xeon processors and supports 4GB Nvidia Quadro P1000 discrete graphics card to support Client AI (Artificial-Intelligence). It is mainly aimed at businesses and startups inclined towards AI.
Lenovo ThinkSmart Hub 500
The ThinkSmart Hub 500 is an all-in-one purpose device that provides an audio-video conferencing solution to reduce the hassle of having multiple devices in meeting rooms like VOIP, PSTN phones and speakers.
The new ThinkPad laptops feature specific security solutions, including ThinkShield 2.0. It is a 360-degree security platform that secures the device through the entire product life cycle, right from the manufacturing and supply chain. This ensures that devices entering the enterprise segment are not infected or compromised before they are even switched on.
The company has also included PrivacyGuard- a software feature that warns users if anyone is looking at their screen. And if so, it will automatically turn on Privacy Guard, ultimately dimming the screen to protect it from prying eyes.
