Indian smartphone brand Lava has announced two-year warranty offer on all its major devices including smartphones and feature phones. However, this offers only applies to the purchase of new products only. While the consumers who buy the Lava mobile starting August 26 can avail 2-year warranty offer.
Lava smartphones and feature phone will come with six months validity on accessories and a one year warranty on a touch panel and LCD. The company clarifies that this offer is a part of its ‘Make in India’ initiative. Moreover, Under this initiative, the company is gearing up to establish its first Mobile Phone Design Center in India which is expected to be operational in the Q3 of 2018.
Commenting on the offer, Gaurav Nigam, Senior VP, Head of Product, LAVA International said:

We are presumably the first Indian mobile phone brand to launch 2-Year Warranty offer on such a wide portfolio of devices. This offer exhibits the confidence we have in the reliability of our products and the focus that we put in quality control at every stage of product development”.
Notably, Lava has currently over 1000 service centers across India, and the number may go on increasing as a company is performing well in the current market situation. But Lava is currently feeling the heat of the competition from numbers of popular brands which are ruling the market. Lava offerings seem to be good but not as efficient like other brands. The entry level and mid range market highly price sensitive, and the consumers from that domain are always looking for best value for money proposition. This current offer from the company will prove to be a good marketing stunt for its products, and it may push the sales figure to a greater level.
