The Chinese giant Huawei has now launched its new Huawei Y5 Lite smartphone in Pakistan. The Huawei Y5 Lite is an entry-level budget smartphone aimed at light users. Also, it’s the company’s second handset to run on Android Go-edition (first was Huawei Y3 2018 that arrived in May, last year).

The Huawei Y5 Lite comes with a 5.45-inch IPS FullView display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. The screen further boasts a pixel density of 295ppi and an 18:9 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the Y5 Lite gets powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz. It is coupled with PowerVR GE8100 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The built-in microSD card slot allows for further storage expansion of up to 256GB.
For photography, the device gets a single 8-megapixel camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and single-tone LED flash at the rear. Up front, we have a 5-megapixel camera sensor having an aperture of f/2.2 for selfies and video calls.
As mentioned, the handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition which is a toned down version of Android intended for low-end devices. Backing up all of this is a 3,020mAh battery.
The phone incorporates an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. Whereas, the connectivity options onboard include WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, BLE, and a micro USB 2.0 port alongside GPS, A-GPS and GLONASS. Lastly, it measures 146.5 x 70.9 x 8.3 mm and weighs 142 grams.

Huawei Y5 Lite: Price, Availability
The Huawei Y5 Lite has been priced at PKR 16,499 (roughly Rs. 8,200) for the single variant with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage. The phone will be sold in blue and black colour options. Although the company is yet to announce the availability of smartphone in other regions, we expect it to land soon in the Indian market.
