Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is all geared up to launch its Honor Magic 2 on 31st of October along with a new Honor watch. Now, as per the latest reports, the company will also be launching new Honor Flybuds- truly wireless earbuds during the event.
The hint for it comes from the poster revealed by the company on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The image reveals the partial design outline of the upcoming Honor FlyBuds which further indicates their stem to be reminiscent of the Apple AirPods. Following the same, we can expect them to pack certain features similar to other wireless earbuds such as touch controls, noise isolation, and a rechargeable case.
As mentioned, the poster further reveals the launch date of FlyBuds to be Oct 31. To recall, the previous leaks hinted that Huawei was planning to release the second generation of its FreeBuds named as FreeBuds 2 during the Mate 20 global launch held in London, we also saw the leaked images of them, but unfortunately the company didn’t make any such announcement during the event.
It is also being speculated that the new FreeBuds will be unveiled next year during Huawei P30’s launch along with the case which can be recharged wirelessly using “Reversible Wireless charging” from the Mate 20 Pro, and a new feature called Bone Sensor that captures users’ voices via bone conduction technology and uses AI to distinguish between the voice of its owner and that of other person, while primarily focusing on FlyBuds as for now. We really can’t say if the FlyBuds will incorporate the same tech.
Just a while ago, Xiaomi too was reported to be working on it’s take on the Apple AirPods, named as Mi AirDots whose launch date has not been known yet.
Anyways, given that the launch is just a few days ahead, let us wait and see what Honor has been cooking in reality, and yes, we are excited to see the Honor Magic 2 as well. Stay tuned.
