DataWind 7SC Tablet

DataWind has announced the launch of its tablet, Datawind 7SC in India. Priced at Rs. 2,999, the tablet is available to buy in a single color variant on Snapdeal. The device features the web delivery platform of the company, which promises to offer the fastest mobile web experience on EDGE/GPRS networks. Buyers of this device can enjoy free internet surfing for a year through UbiSurfer.

This technology is said to consume 10-30 times lesser bandwidth as compared to other technologies and is covered by 18 U.S. patents. Since this free access to the internet doesn’t include local downloads, video or audio streaming, you will need a separate data plan for that.
