Coolpad selfie-focused smartphone coming to India on August 10

Coolpad will soon launch a brand new smartphone specially made for the selfie enthusiasts. The phone shall launch on 10th August at a press event organized by the company.

We have recently seen a number of smartphone makers bring their selfie-centric smartphones. Oppo has launched a few smartphones with exceptional front cameras. The Oppo F1 features an 8MP selfie camera having a f/2.0 wide aperture lens. Oppo F1 Plus comes with even greater 16 MP front-facing camera. This also sports a f/2.0 wide aperture lens. Another selfie-centric Oppo F1s is on line to be launched on 3rd August, 2016.

Coolpad Max was recently launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 24,999. The main feature of the phone is its ability to natively segregate between personal data and professional data. Data encryption is available by default in the smartphone.

Coolpad claims that the device provides one of the best security for user data with its dual isolation encryption technique. The Coolpad Max comes with upper mid-range specifications. It is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 617 combined with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of built-in storage.

In India, Coolpad also sells one of the cheapest smartphone with a fingerprint sensor in the market. The Coolpad Note 3 Lite which features a fingerprint scanner is priced just Rs. 6,999. The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD 720P IPS display.

The quad-core Mediatek MT6735 powers the device. It comes with 3 GB of RAM with 16 GB of inbuilt storage space. It also has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. The Coolpad Note 3 Lite sets a benchmark in the budget smartphone market.

There are no details about the specifications of the upcoming selfie focused smartphone from Coolpad. Most of the hard-core selfie centred smartphones are priced above Rs. 20,000 in the Indian market.

Considering Coolpad’s history of providing excellent value for money, we can expect the upcoming smartphone to redefine the pricing of selfie smartphones in India.

Recently, Sony released the Xperia XA Ultra in India. The phone sports a 16MP front camera and a 21MP rear camera. The front shooter comes with a dedicated LED flash. The selfie camera of the XA Ultra also packs in OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).
