BlackBerry is on the verge of launching the KEYone smartphone with upgraded specifications in India on August 1st with a price tag of around Rs. 35,000 to 40,000. The KEYone variant that is going to launch in India is entirely different from the international model that is available in various markets. And now, it looks like the company is aiming at targeting the Indian market with an upgraded model.
BlackBerry KEYone original variant was introduced back in February with a price tag of US$ 549/ 599 Euros. The device sports a 4.5-inches 3:2 display with QWERTY keyboard below the screen and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM. So, now if we talk about the upgraded model; it could either be equipped with the Snapdragon 820/821 or the latest Snapdragon chipset with 4GB RAM. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with stock UI overlaid on top.
Despite being a brand that was in top 3 in their early stages, BlackBerry has slowly started declining with mediocre product line-up off late. The KEYone smartphone is the company’s latest attempt to test its luck in the Indian market, and the company’s plan of launching an Indian specific variant with upgraded specifications on August 1st sure seems interesting for now, but it needs to be seen how well the mass market like India accepts a brand like BlackBerry. This is an exclusive news from PC-Tablet, so stay tuned for more information on the same as will manage to bring out more news regarding the same.
