Apple Inc. (AAPL) Has rolled out some minor software updates to every single of its Operating System (OS) platforms including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS on Wednesday evening. Most of the updates are intended to address issues like bugs, security holes, poor performance, and security glitches. The entire set of new versions features minor updates and are available globally for all supported Apple devices.
After testing them all in Beta format, Apple has rolled out the final version of its all four Operating Systems. The newly released versions of Apple Updates are recognized as build numbers like iOS 10.3.3 (14G60), macOS Sierra 10.12.6 (16G29), watchOS 3.2.3 (14V753), and tvOS 10.2.2 (14W756). The iOS 10.3.3 which is the current OS for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch has come with several bug fixes, addressing security holes that could improve the performances of core services including Messages, Safari, WebKit, and Contacts.
Likewise, Apple also has released the latest version of macOS Sierra – the macOS Sierra 10.12.6 for its entire range of Mac devices. The latest version is said to roll out with improved security, more stability, and better compatibility with Mac devices. Apart from these features, the new Mac OS version also has come with some patches for a few enterprise features including SMB, Xsan, as well as the Terminal app.
Meanwhile, watchOS 3.2.3 – the upgraded OS for Apple Watch has rolled out with some bug fixings for the similar glitches that inundated other Apple devices like iPhone and iPad. Apart from bug fixing, the new version of OS also features security improvements for kernel and Wi-Fi. The last update of the set is tvOS 10.2.2, which is the upgraded version of tvOS 10.2.1. With standard features like performance improvements, bug fixes, and security updates, the tvOS 10.2.2 is only accessible to the newly launched 4th-generation Apple TV.
MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 supports Mac devices and is available for download at Mac App Store, whereas the iOS 10.3.3 is presented as a free OTA update, which can be accessed through the Settings app under General >> Software Update for compatible iPhones and iPads.
Similarly, the update for WatchOS 3.2.3 is accessible by all models of Apple Watch and users can download it through the Watch app under the same – General > Software Update. The final console of tvOS 10.2.2 is presented for fourth-generation Apple TV devices under Settings > System > Software Updates.
As officially confirmed, in the later part of this year, Apple will roll out the major new OS updates to all of its platforms including iOS, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3.2.3, and tvOS in the form of iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, tvOS 11, and watchOS 4. While public beta versions of these major updates are already presented for some of these OS, the final versions will arrive in fall this year.
