Airtel V-Fiber Broadband service has launched with free unlimited voice calling support. According to sources, the newly launched V-Fiber service provides a capability to offer speeds up to 100Mbps and will be available in Chennai to begin with.
Moreover, the service will be gradually rolled out in phases across 87 cities in India that have access to Airtel’s broadband service. Initially, the service will be introduced in Delhi and Bengaluru.
In a statement, Airtel also announced that the unlimited free voice calling that was previously available on select broadband plans will be extended to all customers. Meanwhile, the company announced that there is no need to dig up the roads or re-wire to implement the V-Fiber broadband service.
Airtel will use noise elimination technology for V-Fiber broadband
Airtel is planning to make use of noise elimination technology also named as Vectorization to boost the speed of Broadband connectivity. To be eligible for Airtel V-Fiber broadband service, you need to opt for a new modem even if you are an existing broadband user.
Commenting on the launch, Ajai Puri, Director – Operations, Bharti Airtel disclosed that India is witnessing an explosive growth in data usage and a lot of in-home data consumption is happening over fixed broadband that offers consistent speeds. The company has always innovated ahead of the curve and offered its customers best-in-class broadband technology and experience.
Puri added that with V-Fiber paired with Airtel’s national optic fiber backbone, the company will be able to offer a future-ready network for tomorrow’s digitally connected homes. Moreover, the latest technology reduces carbon footprint and provides a quick and easy upgrade facility to the customer. He also said that the company is delighted to launch innovative myHome Rewards and unlimited free voice calling facility for our customers.
Although you have to pay money to obtain a new modem, the company hasn’t revealed the cost. However, the monthly rental plans will not increase with the increase in speed.
Airtel also clarified that the modem charges will be completely refunded if the customer is not satisfied with the service within the first 30 days. As a new customer, you will get an unlimited three months trial offer.
