Airtel in association with Celkon has offered a 4G Smartphone under the initiative ‘Mera Pehla Smartphone’ at an attractive price tag of INR 1249. The telecom service giant along with the Indian mobile device manufacturer has introduced this affordable device with a 4-inch touchscreen along with a dual camera, dual SIM slot and an FM radio as well. The Celkon Star 4G+ is currently marketed at a price of INR 2999. The users get total access to the apps in Google Play Store which includes YouTube, WhatsApp, and Facebook.
The phone comes preloaded with apps like Wynk Music, Airtel TV, and My Airtel App which enhances the online experience for the users. Venkatesh Vijayaraghavan, CEO-AP and Telangana, Bharti Airtel said,” We are delighted to expand our partnership with Celkon. In order to avail this offer, the users need to pay a down payment of INR 2749 along with a continuous recharge of INR 169 for 36 months. The company shall refund back INR 500 after 18 months of use, followed by INR 1000 returned after 36 months. This makes the total benefit INR 1500. The customer is eligible for cash back of INR 500 only after he completes cumulative recharge of INR 3000 within the first 18 months and another INR 3000 in the next 18 months to get the cash back of INR 1000. The customer need not need to return the smartphone to claim the cash back at any point. The device is available at all leading stores. One can get the prepaid recharge done via Airtel retailer and the support for the device shall be provided by Celkon post-purchase.
The smartphone comes in four color variants of Gold, Champagne, Black and Dark Blue with 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM which is expandable up to 32 GB. The rear camera is of 3.2MP and a Front camera of 2MP. The smartphone works on an Android v6.0 (Marshmallow) platform.
