Samsung will reportedly launch wireless in-ear headphones along with the upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S8. According to SamMobile, the company is planning to launch a wireless headset alongside its premium Samsung Galaxy S8 handset. The new headphones will look like that of Apple AirPods.
The latest reports suggest that Samsung is expected to showcase the new smartphones during MWC 2017. Hence, you can also expect the launch of wireless headphones during the event.
Although there is a credible confirmation about the planned launch of wireless headphones, we don’t have any confirmation as to whether the new headphones will be bundled with the product package or sold separately. We expect that the new headphones will be sold separately but will be available free of cost to all customers who pre-order Galaxy S8 handset.
Samsung Galaxy S8 will not feature traditional 3.5mm headphone port?
Recently, there were widespread rumors that Samsung might eliminate the 3.5 mm headphone jack from the Galaxy S8 handset. If you look at the smartphones manufactured by Apple, LeEco, and Motorola they have already removed the 3.5mm port to accommodate USB Type-C port. In the case of LeEco Le 2, the audio can be played from within the fast charging port either using a special headphone or an adapter.
Secret prototype designs of Samsung Galaxy S8 reveal the presence of 3.5mm headphone port
The latest rumor is that SamMobile internally accessed several prototypes of the upcoming Galaxy S8. Upon inspection, few designs have the headphone port. However, the prototype designs never surfaced on the web. If Samsung decides to bundle wireless headphones with the product, then you need not have to expect the presence of headphone port.
According to industry analysts, Samsung is planning to provide a product which is similar to that of Apple AirPods. Apple delayed the sale of AirPods after the initial announcement. The company reportedly faced serious technical issues during the development of AirPods.
If Samsung succeeds in the manufacturing of wireless headphones, then it will set new benchmarks in the audio segment. Moreover, it is still unclear whether Harman audio technology will integrate with the new wireless headphones.
As of this writing, we don’t have any official confirmation about the launch of wireless headphones along with Samsung Galaxy S8. However, since the news was reported by SamMobile, which is a credible source of information, there is no reason to disbelieve. We will continue to monitor the developments surrounding Samsung Galaxy S8. Stay tuned with PC Tablet.
