Samsung Z2 Tizen smartphone India launch alongside Galaxy Note 7 on August 11

We all know that Samsung is preparing to launch its latest Galaxy Note 7 on 11th August in India. Now, we have got information that the company will also bring the brand new Samsung Z2 Tizen smartphone the same day in the country. The phone is expected to be priced Rs. 4,499 which will make it one of the cheapest devices in the Indian mobile market to feature 4G VoLTE support.

Like the other Samsung handsets in the Z-series, the Z2 will also run the Tizen OS which is co-developed by the manufacturer. Samsung Z1, launched in the month of January last year, is the first smartphone based on the Tizen Operating System. The company released another Tizen OS powered phone, the Samsung Z3 in October 2015. The naming Z2 of the upcoming smartphone indicates that it will sit somewhere between the Z1 and the Z3.

Samsung Z2 Tizen smartphone Specs

Most of the specifications of the forthcoming budget device are yet to be unwrapped. All that we know till now is that the smartphone will feature a 4-inch AMOLED display and sport 1 GB of RAM. We have a confirmation that the handset will go on sale in two color variants – White and Black. The Z1 shall be a dual SIM smartphone with both the SIM slots supporting 4G VoLTE individually.

Considering that the previous Samsung Z1 comes with a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, we presume that the Samsung Z2 Tizen phone will at least sport a qHD (540 x 960) screen. The forthcoming smartphone is also speculated to be powered by a 32-bit quad-core processor. The phone will come with other usual connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, microUSB and FM Radio.

The upcoming smartphone will feature the brand new “My Money Transfer” in India. The app will facilitate easy and secure fund transfers through internet banking. It will support most of the mainstream banks in the country like ICICI, State Bank of India, HDFC, Axis and Yes Bank. Many local banks like Karnataka Bank, Vijaya Bank, Andhra Bank and Punjab National Bank will also be accessible.

Recently, the Samsung Z2 showed up during the Galaxy Note 7 launch event at Africa. It will be the same scenario in India too. The upcoming smartphone will also reach countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia and Sri Lanka this year. It is unlikely that the Z2 will make its way to the European countries as it has far inferior specs sheet to make any mark in the market.
