Vivo recently sent out invites for a launch event in India scheduled on July 19. During the event, the Chinese manufacturer is expected to announce its Vivo NEX flagship in the country. However, the device is already listed on Amazon India, which suggests that the handset will be launched in the country as an Amazon exclusive.
Sources further indicate that the Vivo NEX will be priced in India at Rs 48,990, which is much lower than the price of Oppo Find X that was launched in India for Rs 59,990. As far as availability goes, the Vivo Nex will be open for pre-orders starting July 19 at 1 PM, exclusively on Amazon India.
Amazon.in will offer an additional Rs 5,000 discount on exchange with the Vivo Nex, according to reports. Besides, HDFC Bank credit and debit card customers are entitled to get cashback, however the exact amount is yet to be confirmed. In addition, launch offers might also include mobile damage insurance, no cost EMI plans up to 12 months, as well as an assured buyback offer. Jio customers will also receive additional data offers.
Reports also indicate that only one variant of the Vivo NEX will launch in India. In the photography department, the device is equipped with a 12MP+5MP dual-lens camera setup with a 1.4um primary sensor, PDAF, and 4-axis OIS. For selfies, the device comes with an 8MP front-facing shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
The handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and gets fuelled by a 4000mAH battery that supports fast charging. As far as connectivity goes, the Vivo Nex features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, GPS, A-GPS, and USB Type C connectivity.
