Vivo to launch V7+ Selfie-Focused smartphone on September 7th

Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is on the verge of launching its next iteration of V series smartphone i:e Vivo V7+ in India. The smartphone will be unveiled at an event in Mumbai on September 7. Vivo has already sent out media invitations with a tagline which states “Get ready to capture clear shot and clear moment”.

As currently there is no information is available regarding its specs and prices. But from the invitation, it seems that the device will be sporting a bezel less display with a thin top and bottom bezel. The invite also hinted that there is no physical button present on the front and it will be sporting Selfie-Focused optics in the front. It might be a possibility that the phone may come with a Qualcomm based under display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Vivo last offering was the Vivo V5s smartphone which is priced at INR18,990. This Selfie centric smartphone comes with a 20MP front shooter with LED flash(Moonlight Glow) and F/2.0 aperture. While on the rear the smartphone is equipped with a 13MP sensor. Moreover, The Vivo V5s is featured with 5.5 inches HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The smartphone is powered by 1.5GHZ MediaTek MT6750 chipset coupled with Mali-T860MP2 GPU and 4GB RAM. The phone has a 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS with Funtouch OS 3.0 on the top. The Vivo V5s smartphone has a dedicated 24-bit/192kHz audio DAC chip for an immersive audio experience.

The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, WiFi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0. The phone is fuelled by 3000mAh Li-ion battery and is available in two color variants i:e Crown Gold and Matte Black.
