Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for OnePlus One with CyanogenMod OS 13 released

OnePlus One has rolled out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update with CyanogenMod 13 build (ZNH0EAS26M). Last week, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei shared on Twitter that the update is in the final testing stages but declined to provide any estimated time frame for the release. However, Pei mentioned that users can expect the update very soon.

As per previous new OS updates, the roll out will occur in a phased manner, but the latest update will cover all users on CyanogenOS 12.1. In addition to new improvements, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings to your devices the battery saver ‘doze’ functionality and new permissions model.

While users can either download CM13.0 and Googly bits of choice for M, it is also possible to update the device by directly downloading CM13.0 without Google Apps. CyanogenMod also outlined the steps required to update to Android 6 Marshmallow in Nexus devices.

Even though OnePlus had decided to deliver Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates in the first quarter of this year, it did not occur since the company took their own time to test the builds entirely to make sure that users don’t face any troubles during the upgrade process.

OnePlus, meanwhile, has also announced the release of OxygenOS 2.2.1 update for OnePlus X with bug fixes related to the data leak, microphone, and app drawer. The update also includes security patch updates in addition to several optimizations to improve the performance of the device.

Earlier, OnePlus had rolled out its Oxygen OS 2.2.1 update for OnePlus 2 users with RAW file support for the default camera app including bug fixes related to an issue of image corruption in the camera.

OnePlus also announced community focused initiatives, which includes a contest on Instagram and giving away 2 OnePlus to lucky winners.
